The season is drawing to a close now and in the next week or so we will have our last session.

We will then be starting up again in September when the children go back to school but in brief.........................

Hampsthwaite & Birstwith Junior Football Club

Our club caters for children from the ages of 6 to 11 (Year 1 to Year 6) both boys and girls with sessions held every Saturday morning from 0930 to 1030 at Hampsthwaite playing field.

Sessions are run by 7 Qualified Football Association Coaches to Level 1 and Level 2 Standard and all the coaches have undergone First Aid and Child Protection Cources. The club is looking to achieve FA Charter Standard which also involves having all Coaches screened by the CRB.

The club is also linked to both Hampsthwaite and Birstwith School, Birstwith is an FA Charter Standard School.

The Ethos of the club is to provide a safe, friendly and fun environment for children to play football to meet friends and to make new friends. Apart from the Saturday coaching sessions we also play in a local friendly league against other schools as well as entering into mini tournaments.

All games are Small Sided Games, 6 v 6, operated within the criteria laid down by the FA for each age grouping.

Whilst we do not play to lose the emphasis is on FUN and allowing children to express their ability, skill and flair.

We welcome any child that wishes to join the club and would be happy to answer any questions that parents may have.
